Williams Notaro also enjoys helping the community. Williams Notaro staffed the telephones for WETA during one of their telethons to raise operating money for the station. Making a "Williams Notaro company event" out of the evening, everyone went to dinner together before our television debut.
There was much apprehension amongst the staff and their significant others as the air-time approached. We were schooled by the producer on appropriate television behavior and positioned on the set. After the first tense, nervous moments, everyone relaxed and had a great time. We raised over $28,000 in just 3 hours of service. At the staff's request, this will become a regular community support event.
