An engineering team must not only be creative and sensitive to the project schedule and budget, but must also be capable of producing clear and accurate construction documents. Williams Notaro & Associates, Inc. (WNA) understands that the construction documents not only direct the construction efforts but also reflect a cost incurred by our Clients to implement the proposed design. To minimize the unexpected costs and provide consistent design strategies, WNA has developed and implemented a complete Quality Management Program. This comprehensive program starts with the overall design philosophy and addresses quality control on each level of responsibility within the project team and at the department management level.

To maintain WNA's high standard of quality, the project team applies a consistent approach to the design solutions required by each projects unique criteria. We have developed a "WNA Design Manual" to provide guidance to each design professional. WNA's standards are continuously scrutinized by the staff members and updated as new, or improved procedures are developed. We believe that quality can only improve through a continuous evolution of the design procedures, practices, and standards. WNA strives to continuously develop these subjects through frequent design philosophy meetings, periodic procedure review and revision, and updating the WNA Design Manual to provide current reference for the staff. This not only results in a superior final product but also improves team efficiency by minimizing the corrections required at the end of the project, as is often the case with a conventional quality control procedure.

In addition to continually improving our procedures and standards, WNA also employees a multi-level quality control process that guides our production of the construction documents. Every member of the design team is an integral member of the process on every project. From CAD Operator to Principal In Charge, each person as distinct responsibilities and input into the final product -- precise, detailed, and accurate documents.

Finally, no one at WNA settles for "good enough". Our corporate culture fosters the attitude that everyone can excel at what they do, all processes can be improved, and that the education process never ends. We apply our quality control philosophy from the very beginning of the project through to completion of construction.
