As a Virginia Tech graduate with over 28 years of engineering experience in the design and management of new construction and renovation projects, Mr. Williams offers expertise in project management, mechanical system design, and system troubleshooting. As a founding Principal of Williams Notaro, he directs the Mechanical Department and maintains a high level of Principal involvement in projects by working closely with the clients as a Project Manager on many projects.
His extensive experience in renovation projects allows him to evaluate the construction process and assist in anticipating issues that may impact both construction and the budget early in the project to make the construction process predictable. As a business owner, he is sensitive to the economic restraints often imposed on a project and assists the clients in selecting systems that meet both the technical requirements and the financial constraints.
In addition to his expertise in design and construction, his specialty is system evaluation and troubleshooting. He is frequently consulted regarding systems that are either dysfunctional or do not meet the clients expectations. His methodical approach to problem solving has identified and resolved many system operational issues and improved the overall performance of the system.
At Williams Notaro, one of Bob's responsibilities is maintaining the firm's Quality Control process and procedures. He directs an intensive peer review process that is unique in the industry and teaches mechanical design seminars which help to generate uncompromised quality system designs.
