AFP is the world's oldest established news agency, founded in 1835 by Charles-Louis Havas, the father of global journalism.
Today, the Agence France-Presse continues to expand its global operation by employing more than 4,000 employees worldwide with journalists in 165 countries and its five regional headquarters in North America, Latin America, Asia-Pacific, Europe-Africa and the Middle East.
Each day, the Agence French-Presse produces 400,000 - 600,000 words in text, 2,000 - 3,000 photos, 80 news graphics, and 30 video clips for its thousands of subscribers via radio, television, newspapers and companies.
The Washington, D.C. space is the North America headquarters office and features one large press room and a small computer room to support the press room, office areas and administrative support areas for their broadcasting equipment. In addition, the space provides office areas, conference rooms, copy rooms, a pantry and other support areas.
Agence France-Presse enjoys a very attractive high-tech facility and has since worked with Williams Notaro & Associates on other projects in the same building.
