Complete renovation of an existing 67,500 square foot lumber yard built in the 1980’s to accommodate a modern, full-sized Ford automobile dealership. To maintain project budget constraints, the existing roof top units were reused to provide zone air conditioning instead of designing a central VAV system.

The ventilation system for the new service bay area allows for 24-hour operation without operating the HVAC system for the remainder of the dealership. A custom-designed double deck energy recovery unit recovers up to 60% of the energy used to heat and cool the shop.

Fabric duct systems were designed and incorporated into the open ceiling architecture to reduce the structural roof load and provide uniform and consistent air distribution in the large open areas.
