As Navy Federal Credit Union grew, so did their printing needs. To increase productivity in their print shop, the existing press was replaced with a 1.1 million dollar state-of-the-art printing press. This press required a dedicated process chilled water system to keep it cool and functioning at full capacity. The supplemental air conditioning unit serving the print shop was replaced with a computer room type air conditioning unit to provide precise temperature and humidity control in the space. The ventilation was increased and a dedicated exhaust fan was installed to remove the odors produced by the curing ink. Additionally, Williams Notaro & Associates coordinated with the printing press manufacturer, translating metric requirement to English units, to provide the press with the environment it needs.
