Shop Drawing Submittal Review:
Does the contractor intend to provide what the engineer specified, or is it a substitute that may not work? The shop drawing submittal review is a process where the engineer reviews the contractor’s products and equipment they intend to purchase and determines if it is in compliance with the specifications and design requirements. This process is invaluable in reducing surprises and headaches during and after construction. By the time something is installed, and identified as incorrect or unacceptable, it is often very time consuming and more expensive to fix. Whereas, with shop drawing submittal reviews, the entire issue could have been avoided in the first place.
Site Observation Visits/Punchlist Reports:
